Race Report: 2022 Race #3 // Tamarack

June 24-26 brought the NW Cup to beautiful Tamarack Resort in Idaho for Round 3 of the 2022 series. As always, the resort hosted the race with gorgeous, sunny weather, dry trails, and rocks....lots of rocks.

Always a party

With our first lift-served race of the season, riders were able to get plenty of practice runs in, and then plenty of fun laps in the rest of the day. Deschutes Brewery hosted our Friday night get-together with great beer, a cornhole tournament, and raffle from all of our amazing sponsors.

Podium time

At the end of the weekend, Julia Lofqvist Traum and Asa Vermette took the Jr. X wins with Taylor Ostgaard and Cole Suetos taking the pro wins.

Carbon Fiber hot walk

On Sunday Specialized put on probably the best race of the weekend. They sponsored a race for the tiny-grom lot. One lucky winner got to roll away on a full carbon Specialized Hotwalk. Rumor has it she even slept with the bike that night and wouldn't let it out of her site...we have a future ripper on our hands!

A Battle with a stump

Last year Andrew Ratkoviak had an unfortunate incident with a stump off track.... This year Casey presented him with what is left of that stump. Long term Andrew won!
