Road Trip #2 is officially underway!
Race Report: 2025 Race 5 // Silver Mountain
Patrik Zuest, photographer for the NW Cup, shares his stories and images from a great weekend of #USDH racing.
The NW Cup crew has kicked off the second leg of the summer series with a stop at none other than Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho — and as always, it brought the speed, the dust, and the fun.
Set high in the mountains, Silver’s fast and technical track never disappoints. With tight corners, loose terrain, and just the right amount of tech, the racing was as close and competitive as it gets. One of the best parts of racing here? Two lifts. That means plenty of laps, more time on the bike, and a chance to really dial things in before finals. And when the day wraps up, nothing beats a top-to-bottom cruiser — unless, of course, you’re trading your race kit for a swimsuit and heading straight to the water park.
The vibe was strong all weekend long with a big turnout, great weather, and a course that challenged everyone from first-timers to seasoned pros. After all was said and done, it was Bodie Mason charging to the top of the Pro Men’s field, and local standout Ella Erickson taking a hard-earned win in Pro Women (and getting to share the podium with mom Jen Erickson!)— much to the delight of the hometown crowd.
Next up, the road trip continues! The crew packs up and points the vans toward another epic weekend of NW Cup racing at Snoqualmie Pass. Stay tuned!
