What is the NW Cup?

  • Seven races, six resorts, four states, one trophy.

    The NW Cup is a downhill race series based in the greater Pacific Northwest. It began in 2006 and has grown year after year.

  • Anyone. We have 4 different skill-based categories which are further broken down by gender and age. (See below for more info on that).

  • Racers can do one or all of the races. Each race consists of individual awards ceremonies and all add up to an overall award ceremony at the end of the year. While there are 7 races, only your best 5 races count for the overall as you’re lowest scoring 2 races are dropped. The only other requirement is attending the final race every year.

The first stop of the 2026 NW Cup Summer Road Trip is in the books!

Nearly 400 racers made the trip to Whitefish Mountain Resort in Whitefish, Montana for an unforgettable weekend of racing. Whitefish has quickly become a favorite stop on the NW Cup calendar, and once again it delivered everything we've come to expect—great trails, incredible scenery, and a welcoming community that makes everyone feel right at home.

Round two of the 2026 NW Cup season brought us right back where we belong — Dry Hill in Port Angeles, Washington. After a weekend that started with mixed weather and uncertain forecasts, the Olympic Peninsula did what it does best and delivered an incredible Sunday full of sunshine, fast dirt, and close racing.

We’re back. And there’s no better place to start than Dry Hill. After a long, wet PNW offseason, the NW Cup crew rolled back into Dry Hill in Port Angeles, Washington to kick off the 2026 season — and as always, it felt like coming home.

Things got off to a smoky start on Friday, with poor air quality forcing the cancellation of practice for the day. But in true NW Cup fashion, the community adapted and stayed positive. By Saturday morning, the smoke had cleared, and riders were treated to blue skies, cooler temps, and a full day of practice. Thanks to the event’s private high-speed quad, everyone still managed to get more than enough laps in, despite the delayed start.

This time, the crew rolled into Snoqualmie Pass Bike Park — and once again, the venue delivered a weekend full of great racing, great people, and some truly unforgettable runs.

Now in its second year hosting the NW Cup, Snoqualmie Pass continues to raise the bar. With dedicated tracks for Cat 3, Cat 2, and Cat 1/Pro, plus fresh reroutes for two of them, this wasn’t just a repeat of last year — it was a whole new challenge.

Set high in the mountains, Silver’s fast and technical track never disappoints. With tight corners, loose terrain, and just the right amount of tech, the racing was as close and competitive as it gets. One of the best parts of racing here? Two lifts. That means plenty of laps, more time on the bike, and a chance to really dial things in before finals.
