Race Report: 2026 Race 6 // Mt Bachelor

Photos and Words by Patrik Zuest

A new venue, new tracks, and another great weekend of NW Cup racing!

For the first time ever, the NW Cup made its way to Mt. Bachelor, Oregon, and it’s safe to say the mountain delivered. From the moment everyone arrived, the Mt. Bachelor crew welcomed the NW Cup family with open arms and put together an amazing weekend for racers, families, and spectators alike.

A new venue meant brand-new tracks and a completely new challenge for everyone. There was no history to fall back on and no years of experience finding the fastest lines. Riders had to learn the terrain, figure out where time could be made, and adapt as the courses changed throughout the weekend.

Team Standings

  1. Lennys - 139 pts

  2. Sweetlines - 132 pts

  3. Mt Si Mtb - 112 pts

  4. GGR - 112 pts

  5. Mission 6 - 95 pts

One thing we thankfully didn't have to contend with was regional wildfire smoke. Clear skies and beautiful weather hung over Mt. Bachelor throughout the weekend, giving everyone incredible views and a perfect backdrop for the NW Cup's first visit to the mountain.

When it came time for racing, the Pro fields did not disappoint. Porsha Stockton put together the fastest run when it mattered to take the Pro Women's victory, while Max Clark came out on top of a competitive Pro Men's field to claim the win.

But one of the standout performances of the day came from the junior ranks. Allie Ward, racing in Cat 1 Women 18U, laid down the fastest female time of the entire day, no matter the category. Another impressive performance from the next generation of NW Cup racers and a reminder of just how much young talent is coming through the series.

More than anything, our first trip to Mt. Bachelor felt like a success. A welcoming venue, great new tracks, challenging conditions, clear skies, and plenty of competitive DH racing made for a memorable first visit. A huge thank-you goes out to the entire Mt. Bachelor crew for welcoming the NW Cup and giving us a great new place to race.

And with Mt. Bachelor in the books, there's just one more stop on the 2026 calendar. It's time for everyone to recover, get the bikes back together, and prepare for the big one. NW Cup Finals return to Stevens Pass, Washington, in September, where we'll put a bow on another incredible season of Northwest downhill racing.

See you at Stevens!
