Race Report: 2022 Race #2 // Port Anegeles

It wouldn't be a race at Dry Hill without some rain!

Last weekend we welcomed back the NW Cup family to our home town of Port Angeles, WA. While we like to say it is alwasy sunny in Port Angeles.... I don't think even we can say Sunday was sunny.

Bring on the mud

Friday and Satuirday were great weather some high clouds. The dirt getting better and better every minute. Sunday unfortunately turned to consistent rain, with fog high on the mountain making visibility a little tricky.

Flying fast in the wet weather

Even with the wet weather some of the Pros and Juniors put in faster times on Sunday than their already fast times during seeding on Saturday.... traction was still there. At the end of the day Bailey Goldston and Carson Eiswald took the pro wins.

Carbon Fiber hot walk

On Sunday Specialized put on probably the best race of the weekend. They sponsored a race for the tiny-grom lot. One lucky winner got to roll away on a full carbon Specialized Hotwalk. Rumor has it she even slept with the bike that night and wouldn't let it out of her site...we have a future ripper on our hands!

A Battle with a stump

Last year Andrew Ratkoviak had an unfortunate incident with a stump off track.... This year Casey presented him with what is left of that stump. Long term Andrew won!
