For ya’ll with young’ins that might not be a travlin’ with ’em, here’s some of that legalese.
This weekend will mark the conclusion of another amazing year of Downhill racing in the PNW. Stevens Pass Bike Park will play host again promising plenty of practice and a mixed bag for weather. It looks like anything could happen.
With seven rounds in the books, the overall season standings are down to the wire in most categories. More details at Roots & Rain
As you may have noticed at Round 5, Stevens Pass is a construction zone right now, so there are a few changes. Registration will be in an as of yet undetermined location (most likely the ticket windows used in the winter time). Also, the restaurant we typically enjoy will be closed and the Foggy Goggle will be open in it’s place. Just be prepared for a few changes.
Below is the schedule. Technically it’s Open Practice most of the time and the Saturday schedule is stating when the given categories track will be closed to the public and left to racers to get full run practice. That’s it for now, looking forward to seeing you all this weekend!!
The Eastern most leg of the NW Cup will likely play a significant role as we head into the Finals of an amazing 2019 season. We are super psyched to head back to the foothills of the Rockies, and to one of the coolest towns of the series.
As a welcome to NW Cup racers, the town is having a party downtown geared toward mountain bikers called the Hootenanny. Actually, the race just happens to fall on the night of the annual fundraiser party put on by the local Mountain Bike advocacy group. Live music, awesome food, tasty brews, and a raffle all in a sweet setting known as Depot Park.
Back to racing, have you had a look at the overall standings lately? Hop on over to Roots and Rain to see where you stand. Remember you drop your two lowest results and you must start your run at the finals at Stevens Pass Bike Park. Here’s a little info direct from the crew at the Whitefish Bike Park.
The Flathead valley is littered with amazing trails. Get your practice in, but do your best to explore the area, you won’t be disappointed.
Here’s some details from the crew at Whitefish Bike Park.
A 10% Lodging discount is available for racers.
Is available in Dogwood Parking Lot. Campers must check in at resort lodging and pay the $15/night fee. 2 Potties and a trash bin will be available. First come first served. See attached map.
See you all soon and thank you for being the best part of the NW Cup!!
This is the current schedule for this weekends race. Keep an eye on the rider information board (near registration) for any possible changes.
Just a reminder. Even if you are pre-registered, you need to check in prior to riding and/or getting your lift ticket. Please make note of registration hours as well.
Did you already put your number plate in your toolbox? If not, now is a great time to do so.
