Espresso on the Hill

Gypsy Coffeehouse, North Olympic Peninsula’s premier mobile coffeehouse, will be on site for Round 2 of the NW Cup. You may know them from Port Townsend Farmers Market, the Wooden Boat Festival and many music festivals through out the NW.  Their coffee will be fresh roasted for our event.  Please come empty handed and support them.  Their motto:  Merrily making our coffee and chai since the turn of the new century.

Please support them by picking up your morning Joe on the hill.  They will be between registration and Bighorn BBQ.

Round One Quick Recap

Round one is in the books. Great turn-out of a bunch of really nice people! Can’t wait for the next one. HERE is a little recap from Pinkbike, and we are working on another one right now.

On that note, we will be working around the clock (at least when we’re not at our real jobs) to get the new Cat2/3 machine built trail completed by next race. Anyone who would like to lend a hand with that over the next couple of weekends and get a few extra practice laps is welcome. Just email us at nwcup@yahoo.com

SHIMANO Joins the Tour

We’re excited to announce that SHIMANO is planning on attending at least 4 out of the 6 rounds of the NW Cup, it’s an honor to have them in the pits. Having technical support from brands like SHIMANO and FOX at the races has been key to keeping things rolling smooth. Stop by and throw them a thank you.

Featured Bike Shop Program

New for this year, each round of the NW Cup will feature a different bike shop that has shown an exceptional commitment to our sport of choice.

For the first race, The Broken Spoke bike shop has stepped up by contributing to the raffle goodness, and by setting up a repair shop in the pits at not only this race, but throughout the series. They have done this somewhat “unofficially” in the past, but we have worked on it a bit and they should be able to help you with most issues that come up. All the while running one of the bigger teams, and racing themselves. And oh yeah, one more little thing, the owners will be bringing a new future shredder into the world any time now.

Last, but certainly not least, Team Broken Spoke has without a doubt contributed more trail work time than anyone. They are always stoked to trade a little dirt work for runs throughout the year….Thank them!!!

Look for a few more surprises from some of the other “Featured Bike Shops” throughout the year. It might just be a rumor, but you might want to get your 4x bike ready for the May event??

IT’S ALIVE!!!!

Pre-registration is now open for the first three Port Angeles races. Keep in mind that the second race (April 26-29) has a cap to insure plenty of practice for everyone so don’t delay on that one. Lot’s more news will start to flow now as things are falling into place. See you all soon.
